Eastie Pride on display at community festival

East Boston residents celebrated their community yesterday during the 29th annual Eastie Pride Day.

The daylong event kicked off at Piers Park and featured music, food and family-fun activities in recognition of the neighborhood’s heritage and diversity.

The event also honored John White, the longtime director of the East Boston Area Planning Action Council who has served the community for nearly 50 years.
